If hungry, volleyball

A PE assignment in my last year of high school. That's when I first watched Haikyuu, and I thought — I want to do that.
Our school had no gym, so we strung a net up outside and just went at it. Nothing like the anime, but playing with friends was enough.
So I never really got to play, and then I went into the army. It wasn't until I came back that I could actually start.
Somewhere I knew nothing about, with people I'd never met.
I used to make music under the name null — pronounced "nool" in Korean. My Instagram handle was null too, until a friend on a trip kept fumbling it: "Null? Nool? Nool-oongzi? Nuroongji?" The handle became nulloongzi.
I started posting volleyball clips set to music on that account. Somewhere along the way people on the court were calling me Nulloongzi — scorched rice, the crust at the bottom of the pot.

Back then I didn't much like meeting new people. I got dragged along to a club dinner after practice once, and eating together turned out to be the best part. I did that every week for three years. Play, then eat.
Eating together made us close, and the court became an easy place to be. Volleyball got more fun from there.

A few of us from that club started a separate 6-a-side team. I followed one of them around to other clubs, partly just to get better, and once I knew a few teams those teams led to more. Before long I could play anywhere, any day.
And somewhere in there I became the one getting the DMs.
"Where can I play?"
Answering them one by one, it hit me —
I should just make a map.

Not knowing where to play. It all lives inside members-only forums — you have to join and read a while before you find anything. With futsal or basketball you just show up at the court near your place.
I want volleyball to be like that
anywhere, anytime
An AI referee. People who only play 9-a-side rarely move over to six, and it's almost always the rotation. It feels like a waste to miss a game over the rules.
I hope more people come to like volleyball.
And if you were just curious about Nulloongzi — that's enough.
